At Osteria Polpo we provide a unique offering in Adelaide. We are a restaurant, bar and cicchetteria specialising in regional northern Italian cuisine. Due to our increasing popularity we are seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to join our team. We are open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday and experimenting with brunch on Sundays. Functions is also an increasing part of our business. As a Manager, you will be assisting the owner in developing the business and be responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a talented team of hospitality professionals. What you'll be doing Managing and coordinating all front-of-house activities, including reservations, seating, and customer service Recruiting, training, and supervising a team of servers, hosts, and bartenders Ensuring high standards of food and beverage service, cleanliness, and overall customer experience Monitoring and analysing sales and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement Liaising with the kitchen team to ensure seamless operations and prompt service Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate financial records Collaborating with management to develop and implement promotional strategies What we're looking for At least 1-5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry A mature outlook Proven track record of driving sales, improving customer satisfaction, and leading high-performing teams Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail A strong knowledge of wines and cocktail making Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations and inventory management Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences For those wanting a change or to further their career this is a exciting opportunity to get fully involved in the daily operations of a new and growing hospitality business.
