About the role:
The Finance Support Officer – Aged Care provides administrative and accounting support to the Finance Unit and Aged Care.
The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas:
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to provide the level of administrative support required by the senior managers.
Experience in maintaining and operating in environments where information is sensitive, personal and/or of a confidential nature.
Be flexibly adapt to suit changing administrative requirements of the position and have good levels of problem-solving abilities.
Excellent levels of computer skills including the associated software and databases relevant to the organisation.
Able to work energetically, positively and productively to meets the needs of senior managers while adhering to regulatory policy and procedures.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities manage workloads and identify when to reschedule and reorganise work to reflect changes in priority.
Be able to meet individual performance indicators.
Basic knowledge and adherence of work health and safety legislative obligations.
Ability to quickly develop an understanding of, and empathy with, Anglicare’s mission and
ability to apply Anglicare values in the performance of all duties.
Relevant Certificate or Diploma qualifications

The successful applicant will be required to:
provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021;
present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
