As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee group-wide financial reporting and compliance across our multi-site hospitality and accommodation operations, while continuing to strengthen processes, controls, and visibility of financial performance. About the Role You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting for our hotel, bottle shop, accommodation, and central entities. You will lead a team of approximately 20 , including Financial Accountants, Assistant Accountants, and AP/AR functions. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving consistent and reliable financial processes, supporting informed decision-making, and maintaining a high level of confidence in the numbers. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across all group entities. Support the executive team with reliable, insight-driven management reports. Variance Review & Commentary: Review budget vs actuals, investigate key variances, and ensure performance insights are captured clearly for stakeholders across operations and corporate functions. Month-End Close: Oversee and continuously improve the month-end close process, ensuring high general ledger integrity across P&L and Balance Sheet. Team Leadership: Mentor and support a team of ~20 finance professionals, with a focus on building technical strength, consistency, and accountability across reporting functions. Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain and enforce strong internal controls. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax obligations (e.g., BAS), and audit requirements. Business Partnering: Work closely with site managers, general managers, and operational leaders to understand business drivers, align reporting, and ensure the finance function is a true enabler of performance. Acquisition & Integration Support: Provide financial oversight and integration planning for new sites or acquisitions, ensuring financial visibility and controls from day one. What You’ll Bring CPA/CA qualification and proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally in a multi-site, hospitality, retail, or accommodation environment . Strong technical accounting background, with deep experience in financial and management reporting . Skilled in Excel and financial systems; experience with Power BI and/or ERP environments (e.g. Dynamics 365) will be highly regarded. A hands-on, collaborative working style and ability to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. A natural problem-solver who is curious about how operations impact the numbers—and how finance can help drive performance.
