About the role Abacus Finance and Property Pty Ltd is seeking an Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in our Sydney office. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting support to our growing client base. What you'll be doing Maintaining accurate financial records and accounts for clients Preparing financial statements, and other reporting documents Processing invoices, payments Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements Providing administrative support to the accounting team Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations What we're looking for Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or bookkeeping Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero Strong communication and client service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team What we offer At Abacus Finance and Property, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
