Senior Tax & Business Services Accountant

 Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Tax & Business Accountant to join our professional and friendly team. Our newly renovated office is located in Burswood and is only 10mins walk from Victoria Park or Burswood train stations.  The Role The role will involve dealing with all entities tax returns and financial statements preparation, bookkeeping services, as well as tax planning and advisory. Provide exceptional service to our clients. Manage a portfolio of clients and provide value added services Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts and superannuation funds Undertake business advisory work, financial modelling, complex tax matters, succession planning, asset sales and acquisitions Liaise with clients, managers and partners regarding queries Providing tax advice to clients including income tax, FBT, CGT, GST, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Division 7A, tax planning, payroll assistance, and any other tax or business services related matters Advise clients on business operations, regulatory matters, restructures, accounting system implementation, estate planning, succession planning Perks and incentives including but not limited to the following Great culture and team Enjoy work life balance and flexible working arrangements Career growth with a potential of being an Equity Partner in the future Direct access to Partners Continual support and opportunities for professional and career development Social Events that are inclusive of all staff and paid for by the firm Staff training with free lunch Morning tea will be provided on the employment anniversary date End of trip facilities About You Passionate about helping our clients A self-starter and proactively managing all aspects of the clients’ annual compliance obligations A problem solver who enjoys challenge Can comfortably communicate at all levels and have excellent verbal & written communication skills Have exceptional time management skills Have ability to work as part of a team environment as well as the ability to work independently Have high attention to details Experience using Xero practice management software, Xero Tax, FYI Documents Management system and bookkeeping cloud-based applications is preferred.  Have a solid public practice accounting career history Positive can do attitude To be successful in this part time role, you will need to have a minimum of 7 years of experience in tax and accounting. Ideally you will have completed CA or CPA. Salary commensurate with knowledge and experience.
