Acting VET Manager (Temporary Personal Leave Cover)

 Job Description:

Are you an experienced VET professional with a passion for quality, compliance, and community-based learning? Tamworth Community College (TCC) is seeking a dynamic and collaborative individual to fill a leadership role as Acting VET Manager to cover an extended period of personal leave. This is a 6-month fixed-term opportunity (with the possibility of early termination or extension based on the return of the substantive employee). You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, learner-centered training and supporting continuous improvement in a trusted, not-for-profit community education provider. Reporting to the CEO, your key tasks and responsibilities will include the following: Overseeing training delivery, quality, and compliance with the 2025 Standards for RTOs Supporting, mentoring, and building capability in our team of Trainer Assessors Leading internal validation, moderation, and continuous improvement processes Managing the development and review of TAS, curriculum, resources, and assessment tools Driving innovation in training delivery, resource development, and digital learning Engaging with community and industry partners to support learner pathways Supporting registration activities, audits, student data analysis, and contract reporting Embodying and promoting TCC’s inclusive, learner-centered approach across all activities   Key Requirements: Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or similar/higher Significant experience in RTO operations, compliance, or training delivery Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Strong Understanding of TAS development, RPL, validation, moderation, and audit processes Commitment to equity, inclusion, cultural safety, and WHS responsibilities Current Working with Children Check   Desirable: Familiarity with Smart & Skilled and/or ACE programs Project/change management capabilities Previous work in regional, not-for-profit, or community education settings Experience delivering or overseeing TAE products NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel in the region   Your benefits: A supportive and inclusive team environment Purposeful work that supports people in our community Remuneration commensurate with experience Opportunities for ongoing professional development Salary packaging options available (as a registered NFP)    How to apply: If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact through quality education and community connection, apply via SEEK with a cover letter addressing the key requirements and your resume.
