Medical Receptionist
Job Description:
Medical receptionist required to work in our GP Medical Centre In Geelong, Victoria. Key Responsibilities: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone. Collect and verify patient information, insurance details accurately. Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and paperwork. Handle incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry, and billing. Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient flow and provide excellent customer service. Requirements: Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role desirable. Previous experience with Best Practice medical software desirable but not essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Empathetic and patient-oriented approach to patient care. Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage. knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications would be beneficial. Flexibility to work a rostered schedule.
