The Group are world leaders in their field, working to forge new ground in the understanding of the biology of sleep and the prevention and treatment of sleep disorders.  We are looking to grow our team with the appointment of an outstanding Research Administration Officer for a one-year fixed term contract.  About the Role We are now seeking a highly organised and proactive Research Administration Officer to support our dynamic and multidisciplinary team in the operational management of our group’s activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class research group and play a key role in the day-to-day running of our operations.   The Research Administration Officer will provide comprehensive administrative support across multiple operational functions, including HR, finance, events, marketing and communications. The role will be key in supporting the senior leadership team of the Sleep and Circadian Research Group by managing administrative tasks and facilitating productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The position will suit someone with strong organisational and administrative skills coupled with a passion for research. Easily accessible by public transport Key Essential Criteria 2-years experience in a research administration (or similar) role  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects or tasks concurrently Demonstrated track record in synthesising information from various sources to draft/edit/review documentation to a high standard Demonstrated excellence in proactive problem solving and taking initiative Experience in event coordination (e.g. workshops, training sessions, networking events) and ability to attend/organise events outside of usual work hours High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work A high level of discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information Location The role will be primarily based at the Institute’s current site on the Macquarie University Campus.
