Job Description:
Two positions, both are full time fixed term for 12 months Kensington location, close to the lightrail, 15 minutes from Central Hybrid work model, about 2 days per week in office UNSW College is delivering strategic transformation initiatives to modernise systems and elevate the student experience. As part of this, we are establishing a more mature Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and change delivery function — creating exciting opportunities for those who are hands-on, open to learning, and ready to shape how change is delivered across the organisation. We’re seeking two (2) Change Managers to support this journey: one focused on internal systems (student management system) and one on student-facing product innovation. These roles are ideal for individuals who are adaptable, practical, and genuinely excited by the opportunity to build, learn, and contribute to something evolving. Change Manager – Student Management System (System and Data Focus) This role supports the implementation of a new Student Management System (SMS), forming part of a legacy transformation program. The initiative aims to consolidate and modernise how student information is managed across the full student lifecycle — from enquiry and enrolment to progression, support, and reporting. This is a complex project that has already undergone internal change. The role suits someone who can step in and reset the change lens — bringing a fresh perspective, simplifying complexity, and focusing on creating a positive and cohesive experience for those impacted. Prior experience working on SMS implementations is highly desirable. Key Focus Areas: Revisit and refresh change impacts across functions, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and informed by recent shifts in project scope and delivery. Use the agreed change strategy to shape communication, engagement, and readiness plans that meet stakeholders where they are. Work across academic, IT, enrolments, and student services to identify gaps in understanding, confidence, or capability — and build tailored support to address them. Prioritise adoption and embedment — ensuring changes are not only introduced, but understood, embraced, and integrated into daily operations. Create clear feedback channels and support mechanisms post-implementation to surface ongoing issues, drive continuous improvement, and minimise disruption. Support a smooth transition to BAU, working with operational leaders to ensure ownership and continuity. Change Manager – New Product Development (Organisational Focus) This role supports the design and rollout of a new learning product that will influence how UNSW College delivers education. It touches nearly every part of the business – from academics and student services to systems, marketing, and operations. This role suits someone with experience working on complex, cross-functional product development projects, where collaboration and enterprise-wide thinking were essential. Key Focus Areas: Apply the change strategy to shape engagement, communication, and readiness plans. Work across academic, digital, student, and operational teams to understand impacts and coordinate support. Support change readiness by helping teams build clarity, capability, and confidence in new ways of working. Help embed the product into day-to-day operations and facilitate ongoing feedback. Support change adoption through meaningful engagement and clear communication. Both Roles Involve: Using the UNSW College Change Framework to structure planning and delivery. Facilitating open, transparent communication and addressing concerns proactively. Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure change is practical, inclusive, and grounded in lived experience. Supporting benefits realisation through thoughtful integration and feedback. What We’re Looking For: Practical, hands-on change professionals who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves. People with experience working in new or maturing EPMO/change environments, who bring both structure and flexibility. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and willing to think outside the box to co-create solutions. Strong collaborators who enjoy building relationships across the business. A growth mindset — open to learning, feedback, and evolving ways of working. Tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in change management. Proven success in delivering internal change initiatives in complex environments. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with PROSCI and project management methodologies. High level of computer literacy and data presentation skills. How can we benefit you?
