Host & Operations Assistant

 Job Description:

Title: Host This is a part-time role that consists of onsite attendance at the hotel for fixed hours and being available on an ad hoc instance that our outsourcing team requires to escalate an incident.  On the off chance this occurs, it will require trouble-shooting without coming onsite.  This is a 2 - 3 day a week role, that is highly flexible for someone wanting a side gig or to fit in with a scalable lifestyle.  A day will consist of 8 hours onsite from 9am till 5pm, working Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.  Role Summary  Role title is the "Host" for both THE BLUE Hotel Bondi and Jet Flamingo Villas also in Bondi. You will be solely responsible for the day-to-day operations and creating positive and memorable guests’ experiences.   This role assumes the support and supervision of the housekeeping department on the days you work. Responsibilities Responsible for day-to-day operations when working  Overcoming operational challenges Onboarding staff  Embracing the full digital guest experience Look at shortfalls as opportunities to grow and improve what we can do better  Evolve the operations to be less on site reliant and shift to 24/7 and better processes. Review guest expectations versus feedback and what we are delivering. Support and supervise Housekeeping  Representing and delivering the Brand, guest interaction on behalf of the brand when needed Ensuring that the rooms, products and high-end consumables are maintained, and stock controlled. Reservation and front office functions Room inspections  You may be required from time to time to answer or make a phone call to resolve a guest issue, if however, you are required to be on site or the issue takes a lot of time to resolve, then you will be compensated for that via your hourly rate.
