Based in Melbourne CBD, we are a dynamic and growing business seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Assistant Accountan t to join our team. About the Role This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of accounting experience and a solid foundation in finance, who is eager to further develop their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. Working closely with executive managers and reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will gain exposure to a wide range of financial activities across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities Manage full-function accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and supplier queries Complete daily bank reconciliations Perform month-end close tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and preparation of monthly accounts in NetSuite across multiple entities Maintain and update monthly cash flow forecasts and support budgeting processes Prepare quarterly BAS lodgement Maintain, update, and follow up on key financial records and spreadsheets for reporting and audit purposes Assist with year-end audit preparation and supporting documentation Provide general administrative and office support as required Perform other ad hoc duties as needed About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting support role Solid understanding and hands-on experience in accounts payable processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word, and accounting systems – NetSuite experience is highly regarded Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial data A proactive attitude with the ability to follow up tasks independently and ensure timely completion Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced commercial environment High standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality Additional Information This is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne CBD Immediate start preferred All applicants must be legally authorised to work in Australia If you’re ready to take the next step in your finance career and grow within a respected and professional team, we encourage you to apply.
