About the role The Learning and Engagement Officer’s role is to develop, implement, and evaluate high quality public programs, experiences, and resources relating to the Western Australian Museum, in particular to the Museum of the Goldfield’s exhibitions and Collections, for a diverse audience including schools. The position also assists with the development of operational planning, and the training of front-of-house staff, including relevant Volunteers. About you We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a passion for creative thinking and a genuine desire to make a difference. The successful candidate will: Design and deliver engaging, innovative, and multi-layered public and school programs, experiences, and interpretive content tailored for diverse audiences. Programs will be developed and evaluated in alignment with the WA Museum’s Strategic Plan, exhibitions, collections, and research. Contribute to the development and delivery of operational plans, including the planning of future exhibitions and audience engagement initiatives. Work collaboratively with other members of the site’s team to support training and ensure consistency and quality in content development and program delivery. Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships that foster meaningful community connections, support program development, and enhance the Museum’s visibility across the region. Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of creative and innovative programs, activities, and events which offer lifelong learning opportunities for varied ages and interests. Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision, and to work well as part of a team, including an ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated self-management skills, including time-management, budgeting, and organisational skills.
