Customer Service Officer (x8) | Newcastle, Wollongong OR Bathurst | NSW Government *Due to a high number of applications, please do not call in for this role. If you have suitable experience, we will be in touch!* Location: Bathurst, Newcastle, or Wollongong (office or WFH as required) End Date: 19/12/2025, with possible extension Hours: Full time (7hrs per day, 35hrs per week), shifts between 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday (rotating roster) Pay Rate: $33.96 per hour Primary Purpose: Deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers in a shared services contact centre environment, providing initial advice and direction across finance, HR, and technical system queries. Maintain accurate data records as part of the customer management system. Key Accountabilities: Provide high quality customer service in a high-volume contact centre Respond to customer enquiries promptly, courteously, and with confidentiality Refer and assign non-standard or complex enquiries to appropriate teams Keep up to date with policy, legislation, and business processes to provide accurate advice Maintain accurate and timely data records in the CRM system Confidently use multiple technology platforms and databases Meet daily and monthly contact centre KPIs Essential Requirements: Ability to work rotating rosters Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm Strong commitment to customer service Ability to manage self, show initiative, and display resilience Effective communicator and problem solver Comfortable using various technology platforms and databases Previous contact centre experience preferred, but strong customer service backgrounds also considered If you have relevant experience, please submit your latest CV and we will be in touch shortly!
