Overview As the Practice Manager of the largest counselling organisation in the Northern Territory, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic growth of EASA’s counselling, training, mediation, and consulting services. This role blends people-centric leadership with operational acumen and business development strategy to advance EASA’s mission in serving diverse communities across the Northern Territory. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Team Leadership - Coordinate employee contracts and maintain compliance with NT award conditions - Onboard, induct, and support new staff members - Supervise the Administration Team, ensuring reception coverage, performance management, and ongoing support - Facilitate regular team meetings and cultivate a positive, collaborative office environment Contract & Program Management - Administer Employee Assistance Program (EAP) contracts, including queries, renewals, and performance reporting - Monitor contract delivery to ensure compliance and build strong relationships with contract managers - Assist with financial and usage reporting and collaborate with the Finance Officer on external audit requirements Office & Operational Oversight - Manage office operations including IT, fleet, facilities, OH&S, and security - Maintain counselling systems (e.g., EAP Executive database) ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and billing - Support managers with data insights and contribute to strategic and board reporting Governance & Administration - Assist in the development and ongoing review of EASA’s policies and procedures - Ensure compliance with legal and organisational policies, including privacy and child safety Broader Role Dependent Upon Applicants: Business Development & Growth - Identify opportunities to expand EASA’s counselling and wellbeing services within NT communities - Build relationships with government departments, local organisations, and private sector partners to generate new business - Lead the preparation of tenders and proposals, ensuring service capabilities are clearly articulated and aligned with community needs - Track local and regional industry trends to inform service innovation and business planning - Support marketing and outreach initiatives that strengthen EASA’s brand and community engagement Selection Criteria Essential - Demonstrated background in being highly organised, systems focused and leading teams - Experience in office management and team supervision - Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant administration systems - Structured, initiative-taking, and able to multitask - Detail oriented and time efficient - Confident working with diverse populations and community partners - Clear and effective and adaptable communication – able to be concise and firm where necessary - Consistent and reliable style of management, adaptable for individual situations - NT Driver's License, National Police Clearance, Ochre Card Desirable - Proven experience in contract and program administration - Demonstrated ability in business development or service expansion - Experience in the allied health or counselling sector - Experience with MYOB, a financial background is of interest - Familiarity with NT Government contracts and procurement - Background in strategic planning or marketing - Having a proficient level of technical savviness - Able to problem solve and can collaborate when needed - A warm and engaging energy, lead confidently, give guidance, be approachable and transparent - Eager to engage connection with all offices and be an advocate and support for the admin team and their needs - Interested to learn other areas of the organisation and help out if short-staffed (e.g., administration or workplace solutions) What We Offer - Annual salary in accordance with the Health Professional Award - $3,000 annual Professional Development (PD) allowance + 5 days PD leave - Wellness allowance of $300 per annum - Generous Employee Assistance Program (EAP) including immediate family members - Flexible working arrangements in a purpose-built office - 4 weeks annual leave (rising to 5 weeks after 12 months) Interested?
