Paralegal / Conveyancing Position at NKT Law Description of Role NKT Law is a specialist property law firm based in Brisbane, dedicated to delivering bespoke, high-quality solutions in property law. As a young and dynamic firm, we prioritise our clients’ long-term success over immediate commercial gains. Our expertise spans acquisitions and disposals, development, and leasing across residential, retail, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties. We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our collaborative team. In this full-time role, you will support our expert lawyers, working with leading property developers, investors, landlords, and tenants, including national companies. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow, with potential pathways to a lawyer role, allowing you to shape the position to suit your strengths. Responsibilities You will assist our team in delivering exceptional property law services, including: Supporting acquisitions and disposals, such as drafting contracts for the sale and purchase of commercial office buildings, industrial parks, retail shopping centres, high-end residential properties, and off-the-plan properties. Assisting with development projects, including drafting contracts, by-laws, and titling documents for residential community schemes, high-rise strata buildings, commercial office developments, and flat land subdivisions. Preparing and negotiating leasing documents, including retail, commercial, and industrial leases, subleases, and licences, ensuring compliance with the Retail Shop Leases Act. Conducting title, company, property and other online searches to support property transactions for due diligence investigations. Assisting with drafting legal advice and preparing fee proposals. Organising and maintaining up-to-date document precedents. Running conveyancing files from start to finish. Skills & Experience To succeed in this role, you will need: Experience working in a law firm (required). Experience in property or real estate matters (highly desirable). An organised, meticulous, and detail-oriented approach to work. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills to foster a positive team environment.
