Casual Medical Receptionist

 Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Casual Medical Receptionist to join our Ooralea clinic. The ideal candidate will be available to work around 3 to 4 days per week and on a flexible basis helping to cover hours as per the practice needs. There is also the aim for the role to transition from a Casual position to a Permanent Part Time or Full Time role as the needs of the practice continue to grow. Daily tasks and responsibilities will include: Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone.  Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records.  Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations General administration and daily office duties  Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager  To be successful in this role, you will have: Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner High level of computer literacy Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a diverse team and independently Availability and flexibility to cover shifts where needed GP experience and experience with Best Practice software will be preferred but is not mandatory What we can offer you: Access to our Employee Assistance Program for you and your direct family Capacity to develop/expand your skill base within your areas of interest Fun and friendly supportive team environment Flexibility and great hours available, no late nights or weekends!
