Private Practice Medical Receptionist Currumbin Clinic is a 104-bed private mental health hospital located on the Southern Gold Coast, delivering high quality care and positive patient outcomes. We have a team of dedicated Psychiatrists, Medical, Nursing, Allied and Administrative staff who provide expert care in the management and treatment of all acute mental health disorders.  This vital role is integral to the smooth operation of our practice/hospital and requires an individual who can provide efficient and effective administrative support to both our medical team and patients. About the role:   We are seeking several hard-working, dedicated team players to join our current Administration Team in the Private Practice Specialist Suites at Currumbin Clinic. You will be responsible for handling daily administrative tasks for our team of doctors, managing their daily appointment schedules and diaries, actioning all requests and tasks within a timely manner whilst providing exceptional customer service at all times. In this role you will report to the Private Practice Manager and work closely with a supportive team of fellow colleagues. The department has several roles which entail, reception, billing and typing. You would be required to learn and adapt to all of these to offer optimal support and assistance at all times. To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong administrative skill set and be familiar with a Private Practice setting. You will be a proactive professional with a high level of attention to detail and the capability to effectively manage your time throughout the workday. You will be a clear and effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, who can work well in a team environment. You must have the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads accordingly and perform in a fast-paced environment at times under pressure at ease.   Favourable Criteria:  •       Experience with medical software – (Xestro, Blue Chip & Medical Director preferred). •       Medical Typing experience. •       Minimum working administrative experience essential – (Medical preferred). •       Medicare/DVA, WorkCover knowledge (Tyro desired). Personal Attributes & Competencies Required: •       Excellent communication & customer service skills. •       Display and mentor professional behaviour. •       High level of organisational skills with ability to prioritise. •       The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is a must. •       Positive attitude and team morale. •       Empathetic and understanding is a must working in mental health. •       Efficient in handling all doctor & patient requests within a timely manner. •       Time management skills.  Vaccination Preventable Disease: It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: •     Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) •     Varicella (chicken pox) •     Pertussis (whooping cough), Diphtheria and Tetanus •     Hepatitis B You must be able to provide serology evidence and a VPD form for the above-mentioned vaccinations and will be asked by the recruiting manager to supply this evidence if you are the preferred candidate for the role.  Please note you are not susceptible to the VPD's listed in the role description.
