About this exciting opportunity We have an opportunity to join our dynamic and supportive People and Culture team as a Remuneration Officer on a part-time basis, 3 days per week/49 hours per fortnight. Working as part of a close-knit team your primary focus will be to provide ongoing support to the Senior Remuneration Officer to assist in ensuring AIMS’s payroll function is delivered in a timely manner each fortnight. You will play an integral role in the employee experience by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employees’ salaries and entitlements, as well as responding to payroll related queries. You can expect to be: processing payroll transactions for timesheets, leave applications, staff data changes, salary payments, new employee setup, and employee cessations for the fortnightly payroll cycle, undertaking accurate and ongoing interpretation on payroll enquiries and transactions, maintaining electronic record-keeping for all remuneration transactions, interpreting, applying, and advising staff on general conditions of employment and associated policies, and as required undertaking the fortnightly payroll processing in the absence of the Senior Remuneration Officer e.g. processing of salary payments, leave and superannuation entitlements. About you We are looking for someone experienced in a transactional payroll environment to join us, who has experience interpreting industrial instruments, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, well developed interpersonal skills, and the ability to work cooperatively in a team-based environment. Additionally, you will have: Sound understanding of contemporary payroll and related transactions and processes. High level accuracy and proficiency in the interpretation of information and data entry into electronic systems for the purpose of payroll processing. Proven competency using databases and spreadsheet software applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines, as well as the ability to negotiate and prioritise tasks as required. High level of integrity and ability to apply discretion. Experience using Technology One and a sound understanding of employment law relating to payroll related activities would be highly desirable.
