About us We are a small and boutique child/ adolescent and adult mental health multidisciplinary practice. Our clinic comprises of psychiatrists, psychologists, an occupational therapist and Mental Health Accredited Social Worker. Hence, we are looking to find a team member who shares in this ethos. About the role This is a full-time Medical Secretary role based in Toowong, Queensland. You will be providing critical administrative and secretarial support to the medical professionals within a mixed medical/ allied health practice. What you'll be doing: • Manage and maintain patient records, files and databases • Schedule appointments and handle patient enquiries, billing (including MEDICARE & HICAPS billing) • Assist with medical correspondence, including letter drafting and typing • Provide general clerical support, including filing, photocopying and ordering supplies • Liaise with other healthcare providers and organisations on behalf of the practitioners • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all patients What we're looking for: • Proven experience as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite • Previous experience with Medical Practice Management software, such as, Genie or similar software • Understanding of medical terminology • Ability to work independently, as well as, as part of a team • Excellent prioritisation, organisation and time management skills What we offer: We are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
