An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Management Accountant to join our farming and soil sampling businesses based in Ballarat. We are seeking an experienced, part time accountant to provide management and financial accounting support for approximately 20 hours per week. Join a small friendly team in a flexible role, perfect for someone who loves business, analysis, and lots of variety. Responsibilities: Working closely with the CFO, this role includes, but is not limited to: Financial reporting and analysis Month end close, including review, adjustments and finalisation Implementation of new systems, such as budgeting and management reporting tools Compliance work such as BAS, payroll tax, workers compensation Management of part-time Accounts Assistant HR / OHS, including maintaining records, preparation and update of documentation Office management and administration, including administration tasks, attendance and minutes of meetings, general office assistance to Directors Attributes: This role will suit someone with a genuine interest in joining a close-knit team and building an understanding of the business and industry. You will be a confident problem solver, with excellent time management and communication skills. Previous experience performing financial and management accounting functions is a must. Essential for success in this role is: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an accounting role – able to hit the ground running Tertiary qualified in business (accounting, commerce) High attention to detail and accuracy High level of organisation skills Quick learner who shows initiative Intermediate / advanced in Microsoft Excel, and experience using accounting software Great remuneration on offer, commensurate with skills and experience.
