About the role A rare career opportunity at Whitsunday Anglican School has presented itself for an Executive Assistant to the Principal. The role is responsible for providing high-level, confidential executive and administrative support to the Principal. The role requires initiative, discretion, and professionalism, and involves acting as the primary point of contact between the Principal and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The Executive Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the effective functioning of the Principal’s Office and contributes directly to the achievement of the School's strategic intent through exceptional organisational, communication, and relationship management skills. Key Duties High-level diary management, including scheduling and conflict resolution High-level Board management - preparing Board papers, creating agendas, minutes and action items, as well as the formatting and inclusion of key stakeholder reports Preparing reports, presentations, minute taking and executive-level documentation Travel booking and coordination Processing and reconciliation of expenses, invoices, and financial approvals Planning and coordination of internal and external events, ensuring timeliness and the smooth running of the events through considered organisation with key stakeholders Liaise and follow-up with key internal and external stakeholders associated with the School Work collaboratively, offering mentorship when required and create better efficiencies across the School Track key deadlines and ensure the Principal is briefed and prepared. Candidate Profile Bachelor qualification in Business or Administration (highly desired) A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior-level executive assistant role, preferably in an educational or professional services environment Positive Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or the ability to obtain prior to commencement Current Class C Driver's Licence Ability to work flexible hours hours Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and other related software High level of confidentiality and professionalism Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively High level of attention to detail and formatting Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment while remaining calm and organised Proactive problem-solving skills with that solution focused mindset Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Expressions of interest  should be addressed to the Principal, Mr Andrew Wheaton through the SEEK website.
