Accountant
Job Description:
The Company This privately-owned manufacturing and installation group has carved out a dominant position in their niche, known for protecting what matters most. With a strong national footprint and a growing portfolio of complementary businesses, they are in the midst of integrating several recent acquisitions into a centralised finance and reporting framework. Behind the scenes, a smart, values-driven team is quietly transforming the way finance supports operations, making it a great time to contribute your expertise where it counts. The Role This is a hands-on, short-term contract role (6–8 weeks to start with a chance for permanency) supporting the Finance Manager of a business-critical division during a period of integration and cleanup. You'll play a key role in reviewing, reconciling and validating transactional data across multiple entities, with a particular focus on aligning legacy systems with the new ERP environment. Day to day, you'll help untangle accounts, flesh out inconsistencies, match systems, and make sense of what's going on under the hood. The work is meaty, project-based, and ideal for someone who knows their way around the general ledger and gets a kick out of turning mess into method. About You You're either a highly experienced bookkeeper or an accountant who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and work through the detail. You enjoy working at the coalface of operational finance, understanding transactions, asking the right questions, and reconciling variances. You might have done similar project work in M&A integrations or finance function uplifts, and you thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. Skills & Experience Strong bookkeeping or transactional accounting background, ideally across multi-entity businesses Able to work across AP, AR, GL and system reconciliations with confidence Comfortable analysing data between systems and identifying discrepancies Proficient in ERP environments (experience with new system rollouts or post-acquisition cleanup highly regarded) Able to operate independently Immediate availability What’s on Offer A contract opportunity with a clear scope, real impact and potential to extend or convert Exposure to a well-regarded, operationally focused finance team during an exciting time of change A collaborative environment that values hands-on doers over hierarchy Hybrid work arrangements considered, but some on-site presence in Brisbane preferred Apply Now If you're a detail-driven finance professional who loves solving problems and getting things in order, this is your moment.
