Accountant / Graduate Accountant

 Job Description:

- Emma Sells & Associates are seeking a dedicated, experienced Accountant to join our small team on a full-time basis, serving our loyal base of clients.   Duties & responsibilities: Compiling Income Tax Returns Developing Financial Statements Generating Instalment Activity Statements Generating Business Activity Statements Entering data from source documents Organising audit files Performing various administrative tasks as assigned Drafting Minutes for corporate entities and trusts   Experience & attributes: Tertiary degree in accounting CPA or CA qualifications is preferable Proficiency in the use of accounting software including, Xero, FYI Docs BGL, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon, etc. Strong analytical skills and ability to provide informed recommendations Keen attention to detail Excellent written & verbal communication skills, good customer service manner   Benefits: Partnership potential for the right candidate Flexible working arrangements & option to work from home Paid training and CPD If you’re still studying, we’ll compensate your CPA/CA upon successful completion Light airy office space with opening windows Choice of chair and standing desks Visits from Beatrix, the office dog!   About us: Emma Sells & Associates are a boutique accounting firm based in Hobart with 9 current team members, established in 1996.  We provide taxation and business advice to SMEs in Tasmania and beyond.
