Management Accountant / Business Analyst

 Job Description:

Management Accountant / Business Analyst Primary Responsibilities: Budgeting and Forecasting: ·         Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for both Australia and New Zealand. ·         Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations for improvements. Business Performance/Profitability Analysis: ·         Prepare Weekly/Monthly sales reports with commentary. ·         Analyse business performance, including sales, marketing ROI, and logistics. ·         Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer segment, and geographic region. Value-Added Reporting:                                                                                                                       ·         Prepare periodical slow-moving stock, and other value-added analyses. ·         Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making. ·         Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improving profitability. ·         Provide insights and recommendations to enhance overall financial performance. Project Support: ·         Provide financial support and analysis for business projects. ·         Evaluate financial feasibility and ROI of new projects, product launches, and market expansions. Operational Support: ·         Reviewing the rebate calculations and reconciliation. ·         Assist with ongoing operational needs and provide insights to support decision-making. ·         Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and drive cost efficiencies. Compliance: ·         Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in both Australia and New Zealand. ·         Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business. ·         Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations. System Improvement: ·         Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes. ·         Work with IT to enhance ERP and financial reporting systems. Training and Development: ·         Train and mentor junior finance staff and other team members on financial analysis and reporting techniques. Backup Responsibilities: ·         Serve as a backup for the Financial Reporting Specialist and partially for the Financial Controller. Required Qualifications: Essential ·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. ·         Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills. ·         Excellent communication and presentation skills. ·         Advanced MS Excel user. ·         SAP Experience Desired ·         5+ years of experience in management accounting or business analysis. ·         Understanding of financial regulations in both Australia and New Zealand. ·         Netsuite experience.
