We are a BUSY and FAST PACED Ophthalmology practice seeking a confident individual to join our friendly team on a permanent/part time basis (approx. 30-35 hours a week), with the flexibility to relieve annual and sick leave. The practice is seeking to appoint a Medical Receptionist to our team based both in the CBD and our clinic on Marion Road. Role The role of Medical Receptionist forms a vital part of the patient care process by providing a warm, friendly and professional experience for our patients. Candidates must be flexible with working hours. As this position requires availability from 7.30am-7pm, it may not be suitable for individuals currently studying. The successful applicant must have the ability to multi-task and have exceptional computer skills. Previous medical/ophthalmic experience will be highly regarded.   Specific tasks include: Welcoming patients to the practice Entering patient information into the computer system Invoicing and receipting both through Medicare and health insurance companies Booking patient appointments  Answering incoming calls on a busy switchboard General office duties Benefits Above award annual wage plus super and leave loading CBD location located opposite the RAH with great public transport access and public car parking available No weekend work Modern clinic with state of the art equipment Uniform provided (upon completion of probation) Positive team environment Candidate Preference will be given to candidates with Medical/Ophthalmology experience. However, applications will be welcome from people who have some medical experience (particularly with billings). Preferably, you will be expected to have experience in a medical environment underpinned by a good knowledge of medical and/or ophthalmic terminology.
