StevensVuaran Lawyers is a boutique CBD commercial law firm, and what gets us out of bed in the morning is helping our clients with commercial property, transactional work, and regulatory and dispute resolution assistance.  Our clients value the fact that we look at the complete business context in which they need our advice, so we don’t silo into “front end” and “back end” – which means that we are looking for someone with commercial transactional experience who is keen to learn how to litigate, or someone with litigation experience who would like to understand a bit more about how transactions work before the tumult of litigation arises.  Ideally you will have between 1 and 4 years’ post-admission experience, but what we are really looking for is someone who “knows how the world works” (so if you think you can demonstrate that to us by something other than your post-admission experience, we are all ears). We will highly value your excellent drafting skills (whether of pleadings or of contractual provisions) and your willingness to learn.  We all enjoy the work that we do, but we know that the work doesn’t do itself, so you will need to demonstrate your ability to put the client first.  All of us do our own administration, so you will need to be on top of that (and if you have some proficiency with LEAP, that would be a good way of demonstrating your administrative skills).
