Company Accountant Broad finance & accounting remit Expanding national food service business Key position – develop & grow with the company Initially 3 to 4 days a week Near transport, onsite parking available Salary package circa $110,000 pro rated The Company Considered the food industry’s ‘go to’ company across Australia for sourcing, cold storage, logistics and packaging, the business is an importer & exporter and wholesaler with some manufacturing and processing, operating with a global footprint. The Role Personal circumstances have led to changes in the accounting team, and created the opportunity for a new Accountant, someone who wants to continue developing as a finance specialist and ultimately move to a more full time engagement. As an allrounder, working closely with the external accountants you will: prepare financial statements & ensure financial compliance for 4 companies run month end & handle accruals & depreciation manage debtors, FX, invoicing & payables deliver business systems & process improvements streamline & improve finance procedures produce timely and insightful reports manage payroll for 18 staff, along with PAYG, BAS etc budgeting, forecasting & cash flow management You This is a tremendous opportunity for an Accountant with energy and initiative, a self-starter who’s willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved. We’d prefer someone CA/CPA qualified, or at least studying towards their professional qualifications, possibly looking to return to work. As well as general accounting skills, you’ll need excellent financial analysis skills, a commercial outlook and willingness to provide advice to and communicate with management. Hands on and practical, you’ll bring problem solving skills, a ‘can do’ attitude and be comfortable interacting with a broad range of personalities.
