Job Description:
Position Description The purpose of this role is to provide appropriate clinical leadership to deliver safe, clinically competent care to our residential and community setting participants to ensure optimal quality of care. Main Tasks
Participant Assessments:
Conducting participant assessments and providing comprehensive nursing care.
Assessing new participants for care needs and sharing findings with Operations Manager for optimal care delivery.
Skill Development:
Care Team Management: Training and managing the performance of the care team to ensure quality support.
Documentation: Developing and maintaining accurate documentation of participant progress and records. Critical to this, is Support plans and Nursing assessments.
Skill Development: Promoting positive behaviours, facilitating learning experiences, and skill development for participants.
Compliance: Ensuring full compliance with industry requirements within the care delivery team.
Team Building: Active participation in team building activities to foster a cohesive and supportive environment.
Other Duties
Leadership in maintenance of safe working environment. This includes leadership in following behavior intervention support plans, safe working procedures and WHS guidelines
Reporting and documenting all safety incidents, hazards and near misses in the organization platform (currently Brightsafe)
Ensuring proper medication administration procedures for the participants
Work responsibly with full understanding of your duty of care obligations to protect the health and safety of others at the workplace
Promoting confidentiality of all organizational records
Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/requires. These may include shift covering and office management tasks.

Skills and Competencies
Minimum 12 Months Experience: A minimum of 12 months of paid experience in a Registered Nurse role.
First Aid and CPR Certification: Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
National Police Clearance: A current National Police Clearance to ensure compliance and safety.
Driver's License and Vehicle: A valid West Australian driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
COVID-19 Vaccination: Able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccinations to ensure the health and safety of our participants and staff.
AHPRA Registration & Professional Indemnity Insurance: Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance for practicing as a Registered Nurse.
Reference Checks: Two relevant, professional, and industry-related reference checks.
