Job Description:
Salary range: $90K-$103K, plus superannuation
Employment Type: Maximum Term Contract until April 2028 (potential for extension)
Location : City of Logan
We have an exciting opportunity for a Councillor Advisor/ Executive Assistant to support Councillor Mindy Russell.
This dynamic role provides high-level administrative support to Councillor Russell and ensures effective communication with key stakeholders, while helping solve issues impacting the community. Based at the City Administration Centre in Logan Central, with activities across Division 3 and the City of Logan.
Your day will include:
Triaging community and stakeholder requests
Following up with staff and constituents to ensure positive and timely outcomes
Efficient diary and schedule management
Streamlining and maintaining systems to track resident requests, funding allocations and projects
Meeting preparation and follow up, including minute taking and action tracking
Drafting correspondence, brochures, articles, videos and social media content
Assisting with community outreach, including event coordination
Proofreading and document management
Remaining across deadlines and priorities, with strategic foresight
Conducting research and analysis on issues and policy
Keeping information and resources organised, so it is easily located
Supporting the development and delivery of strategies

Discreet, reliable and able to work flexibly
Confident with creative tools and social media
Role requirements:
Current working rights for Australia
Obtain or ability to obtain a Working with Children Card (WWCC)
Ability to receive a satisfactory result for a National Police History Check
Current drivers licence
Committed to upholding the legislative obligations and Code of Conduct for Queensland Councillor Advisors
Willing and able to work flexible hours
