 Job Description:

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage aspects of, and contribute to, the monitoring, modelling and estimation of Queensland populations, including selected subgroups and regions, in particular those of resource regions. • Liaison and consultation with other stakeholders in relation to statistical matters and the acquisition of data/information including resource industry accommodation and workforce data. • For specific projects, lead and contribute to the collection, collation and storage of data and information, ensuring accuracy, currency and comprehensiveness of the collection. • Prepare reports, briefings, correspondence, data visualisations, graphical and statistical information, maps and presentations. • Compile research and undertake analysis and reporting on demographic and social issues, including the social impacts of mining, gas and associated infrastructure developments. • Actively ensure that team outputs satisfy Office standards for integrity, accuracy and timeliness based on quality principles and methodologies. • Represent the Office at meetings, presentations, working parties and conferences, and provide advice on demographic and statistical issues as required. SUCCESS CRITERIA To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: • High level written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated knowledge of demographic concepts and techniques. • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing work priorities with tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
