About the role Holloway Removals & Storage is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team in Wolli Creek, NSW. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our logistics and transportation business, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our valued customers. What you'll be doing Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise productivity, streamline workflows, and enhance customer satisfaction Manage and coordinate the activities of our operations team, including logistics planning, fleet management, and inventory control Identify and resolve any operational issues, implementing corrective measures to maintain service quality Analyse performance data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous operational excellence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of processes and effective utilisation of resources Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for the operations team What we're looking for Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior operations management role within the transport or logistics sectors. Proven expertise in planning, organising, and leading complex logistics and transport operations. Outstanding problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills to identify and resolve operational issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration. Track record of driving continuous improvement and applying innovative operational strategies. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, certifications, and best practices. A degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams. Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving through a data-driven approach. Communication: Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptability: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
