Payroll Officer - Maternity Contract Role

Payroll Officer (Maternity Contract Role) Sydney CBD Location (near Museum & Town Hall Station) Office Based - 3 days per week Hospitality Industry Longstanding CBD Hospitality Group are seeking a dynamic and professional  Payroll Officer to join our friendly team to cover a maternity contract position. Your primary focus will be on Payroll & Personnel Matters in addition to general administration tasks.  In this role you will be responsible for the processing of a weekly pay run as directed in an efficient & timely manner ensuring payroll & bank deadlines are adhered to. The position will have hands-on responsibility for payroll as well as assisting with open and active Workers Compensation Cases & Claims.  Role would suit someone looking to return to work 3 days per week or someone seeking a work life balance & reduced hours.   Responsibilities will include: Payroll – all aspects of payroll from start to finish Weekly & Monthly management reporting Directors reports and weekly analysis Assist with preparation of all Contractual Obligations such as  Payroll Tax / Super / Workers Compensation. Assist Venue managers to maintain OH&S compliance HR administration such as issuing employment contracts and employee paperwork Management of Workers Compensation open claims Provide advice & support to Owner & Managers in a variety of basic HR/IR matters Assist with performance issues, probation period management etc.   To be considered for this position you will need to have the following skills and experience: Strong payroll experience (3 years minimum similar role) MYOB skills are essential Understanding of Time & Attendance software Strong administration & time management skills Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills Experience in the Hospitality industry would be beneficial but not essential Excellent written & verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills Knowledge of Fair Work Australia and Modern Awards Understanding of OH&S legislation & applications also ideal   The position will report to the Owner &  Administration Manager & work closely with Department Heads & Management Teams.  If you believe you are suitable for this position, please submit your application now.
