About the Role Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Financial Controller is a senior leadership role responsible for the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of our financial operations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that blends strategic oversight with operational execution. You’ll lead financial planning and analysis, statutory reporting, and compliance, while building strong business partnerships and driving finance transformation. You’ll also lead a capable team and play a key role in decision-making across the business. What You’ll Be Doing Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including Board and statutory reporting Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning processes Ensure compliance with all relevant tax, audit, and accounting obligations (AASB, BAS, FBT, etc.) Support senior leadership with commercial insight, pricing models, and strategic decision-making Lead internal and external audits and manage key relationships (auditors, tax advisors, GWF, US parent company) Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes, and reporting Lead and develop a high-performing finance team with a culture of accountability and growth About You CPA or CA qualified, with 7+ years’ experience in financial management Proven experience in manufacturing or FMCG (food industry experience is a plus) Strong technical expertise in Australian Accounting Standards and tax compliance Advanced Excel and ERP system skills (e.g., SAP, Pronto, Oracle) A natural leader with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Commercially sharp, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Why Newly Weds Foods Join a globally connected, Australian-based business with strong values and purpose Be part of a leadership team shaping business strategy and driving performance Work with a supportive, collaborative team culture where your impact is valued
