About Us JBS Australia, part of the global JBS business, is the largest and most respected meat and food processor in Australia with a strong portfolio of leading beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added products. Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year. Located in Ipswich in Southeast Queensland, the JBS Dinmore Plant is the largest beef processing facility in the southern hemisphere. The plant employs approximately 2,000 team members with a processing capacity of 3,400 head of cattle per day. About the Role JBS Dinmore is currently recruiting an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join the Maintenance team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is ideal for anyone with strong analytical skills to oversee purchasing procedures, gather and analyse purchase requests, process purchase orders and resolve any issues should they arise. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing the entire procurement process from requisition to payment Sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective procurement Maintaining and updating procurement records and vendor databases Coordinating with various departments to understand and fulfil their procurement needs Monitoring market trends and supply chain factors to make informed purchasing decisions Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all purchasing activities Resolving issues related to order discrepancies, shipping problems, and invoice discrepancies Preparing and analysing purchasing reports and metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction Developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures to optimize efficiency Providing information for reporting to the Engineering management team About You Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management Strong negotiation and contract management skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as strong skills within MS Office and Excel Solid understanding of market and industry trends Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions Familiarity with basic accounting principles Strong problem-solving skills Team player with a collaborative approach Why work for JBS Australia?
