Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to lead operations at our facility in Texas. This role requires occasional travel to our headquarters in California, to ensure alignment with company standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily laboratory operations related to esoteric and diagnostic testing
  • Ensure strict adherence to COLA, CLIA, and other applicable regulatory standards
  • Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to laboratory staff
  • Monitor and manage quality control processes and proficiency testing programs
  • Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and corrective action plans
  • Participate in laboratory inspections, audits, and accreditation renewals
  • Coordinate with leadership to manage staffing needs, performance evaluations, and training programs
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, instrument maintenance, and problem resolution
  • Travel throughout Texas to provide on-site support, staff training, and site audits as needed
  • Stay current with advancements in laboratory science, esoteric testing methodologies, and regulatory updates

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or a related field (required)
  • Current MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), or equivalent certification (required)
  • Minimum of 4 years of laboratory experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred in esoteric/diagnostic testing environments)
  • Strong knowledge of COLA and CLIA standards and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel regularly to headquarters
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in high-complexity laboratory operations
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical record systems (EMR)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement
