Job Title: US Bookkeeper (Remote)

About the Client: ​Our client is a growing CPA firm providing accounting, tax, and advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to support our clients​ and internal team with accurate and timely financial reporting.

Overview: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple​ clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines, and​ experience working in a CPA firm or professional accounting​ environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients

  • Record and reconcile bank and credit card accounts

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Prepare and post journal entries

  • Maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules

  • Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close

  • Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

  • Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies

  • Support CPAs with workpapers for tax filings and audits

  • Maintain organized digital records


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience​
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • ​Preferred: Prior CPA firm experience​, experience with multiple entities and industries​, familiarity with payroll and sales tax filings


Schedule: ​GY Shift (US Hours)

Setup: ​Remote / WFH
