Overview:
An Inventory Specialist oversees the tracking, organization, and control of inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This role involves monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, reconciling discrepancies, and coordinating with purchasing and warehouse teams. The Inventory Specialist helps prevent shortages or overstocking, supports timely order fulfillment, and maintains accurate records using inventory management systems.
We are looking for someone who can analyze inventory data, generate reports, and recommend improvements to optimize inventory processes and reduce costs. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory software are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Working daily purchase order receiver documents ensuring all items are received in a timely fashion
- Research old purchase orders to ensure timely completion or escalated when required
Capture purchase order confirmations ensuring acknowledgment of all order
- Capture purchase order tracking information to provide end user updates on order statuses
Research on hold service calls to ensure order entry
Update service call status and provide order numbers and tracking data
Create new items base from new item requests
Provide inventory reports for service leaders and technicians
- Instituting the highest level of quality control and efficiency within the service department
Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors and coworkers.
Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
Perform other related duties as requested
Qualifications:
- Logistics, order processing, inventory control or warehouse experience highly preferred
E-Automate knowledge and experience is a plus
Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors
An organized and detail-orientated nature
A promotion of teamwork, customer service and positivity
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
