About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Salesforce Engineer/Developer to join our team. This role requires someone who not only understands Salesforce architecture and development but also thinks creatively when solving problems and implementing solutions. You'll be instrumental in maintaining, enhancing, and customizing our existing Salesforce instance, with a strong emphasis on scalable development, seamless integrations, and impactful workflows.
Schedule: 20-hour work week (GY shift)
Contract length: 3 months (with potential for extension and retainer role)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, test, and deploy custom code (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components) within the Salesforce platform.
2. Implement and manage custom workflows, process builders, and flows to automate business processes.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
4. Enhance and maintain our existing Salesforce instance, ensuring minimal disruption while improving system functionality.
5. Develop and manage API integrations between Salesforce and other systems/tools (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, third-party applications).
6. Create and maintain clear documentation of all configurations, customizations, and integrations.
7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and system performance.
8. Propose and implement innovative solutions that go beyond the standard, using out-of-the-box thinking and advanced development techniques.
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer or Engineer.
Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC).
Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, including Flows, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules.
Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier, Workato).
Solid understanding of Salesforce best practices, data modeling, security, and governor limits.
Ability to analyze complex business requirements and deliver innovative technical solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative and flexible mindset.
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II or other certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CI/CD tools and Salesforce DX.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
Previous experience in maintaining or scaling an existing Salesforce implementation.
