Corporate M&A Lawyer (3-4 Years PQE) | Native Korean Speaker | Int'l Law Firm | HKG

Our client is a globally recognised international law firm celebrated for its expertise in complex, cross-border transactions, particularly those involving major Korean corporates and multinational conglomerates. The firm's Asia practice is led by market-leading practitioners with a proven track record of high-value M&A, private equity, and capital markets work across the region.

In this role, you will collaborate with top-tier lawyers on headline-making deals, including public and private M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments, with a strong emphasis on Korea-related or cross-border mandates. You will gain hands-on experience supporting Korean clients as they execute significant transactions, working closely with senior lawyers whose recent work includes representing leading Korean companies and global investors on major acquisitions, disposals, and financings.

The successful candidate will be a native Korean speaker with 3-4 years post-qualification experience in corporate M&A, ideally from a leading international or top-tier Korean law firm. A US qualification from a top-tier US law school is strongly preferred, though common law qualified lawyers with top tier law firm M&A experiences will also be considered. Outstanding academics, strong technical skills, and a passion for cross-border legal work involving Korea are essential.
