Assistant Human Resources Manager | Int'l Law Firm | HKG

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Our client, a prestigious international law firm with substantial operations in Asia, is currently seeking an experienced human resources professional to join their Hong Kong office, supporting the Asia business's HR operations.

Reporting to the Regional Head of HR and supporting the HR functions of the firm, you will assist with lateral and graduate recruitment efforts, manage onboarding and offboarding logistics, maintain the HRIS, verify payroll data and liaise with the external payroll provider, liaise with the Hong Kong Law Society to renew practice certificates, assist with performance and salary reviews, provide support on employee grievances, provide all round HR administrative support, and monitor compliance with HR laws, including health and safety. 

Additionally, you will give support on various ad hoc matters.

ABOUT YOU 

To be eligible, candidates should possess a university degree in HR Management or a related field, along with 6+ years of HR general experience in law firms including a demonstrable knowledge of Hong Kong Law Society processes and registering CPD points. 

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS is required, with experience using Workday being highly desired. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is a must, and proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous. This role requires a confident communicator and you should have had experience liaising with partners. 

In addition, candidates who are currrently holding the position of HR Advisor and are looking to take a step up in a new role would be considered.
