The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generator engineering and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. As a Senior Mechanical (Generator) Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of generators for our clients. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage all aspects of generator engineering projects, from concept to completion - Conduct feasibility studies and develop technical proposals for new generator installations - Design and specify generator systems, including sizing, selection of components, and integration with existing systems - Oversee the installation and commissioning of generators, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards - Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for generator systems during installation and operation - Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of generators to ensure optimal performance and reliability - Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in generator technology - Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians in generator engineering best practices Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Minimum of 8 years of experience in generator engineering, with a focus on design, installation, and maintenance - Strong knowledge of generator systems, including diesel and gas engines, alternators, and control systems - Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management - Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as NEC, NFPA, and IEEE - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment - Ability to travel to project sites and work in a fast-paced environment - Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
