Job Title: API Integration Engineer

Role Summary

The API Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and managing secure and scalable APIs within a banking environment. The role enables seamless integration between core systems, digital platforms, and third-party partners while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement middleware and integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards.
• Manage the full API lifecycle (design, publish, versioning, and retirement) through API Gateway platforms.
• Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and business teams to support digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure proper documentation, monitoring, and compliance of all integrations.

Key Skills

• API development (REST/SOAP) and microservices architecture
• API Gateway platforms (MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, etc.)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• API security and regulatory compliance
• Agile / DevSecOps methodologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6–10 years of experience in Banking/Fintech
• Relevant integration or cloud certifications (preferred)
