About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Category Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement activities and drive sourcing strategies. In this role, you will analyze business needs, conduct market research, manage RFQs/RFPs, negotiate commercial terms, and collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement Execution: Handle assigned Purchase Requisitions (PRs) end-to-end for materials and services in line with company policies.
• Sourcing & RFP Management: Issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate commercial bids, and recommend optimal suppliers.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Lead commercial negotiations to deliver best value and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Order & Delivery Management: Maintain a short PR-to-PO cycle and track supplier lead times to ensure on-time delivery.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Monitor vendor performance across quality, cost control, and delivery timeliness.
• Data & Systems: Maintain accurate procurement records and update SAP / Sourcing Platforms.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to company EHS policies, Delegation of Authority, and ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Experience: 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in a transactional sourcing environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), sourcing platforms, and commercial negotiation.
• Languages: English (Required), Arabic (Preferred/Essential).

• PR-to-PO and PO-to-GRN cycle times
• Cost savings (% of spend) against targets
• Supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, and cost control)
• Internal customer satisfaction
