Job Objective:

Generate and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules, forecast, and inventory targets against the MPS (Master Production Schedule) to ensure material demand is executed and available ahead of production builds. Liaise with Procurement, Warehouse and IT for providing solutions and counter measures on system issues to meet production demand. Conduct inventory analysis for spares to investigate and resolve discrepancies (excess and shortages).

Functional Role:

  • Adhere to OHSE legislations, standards and the Organization Policy's & Procedures.
  • Create, manage and maintain production MPS (Master Production Schedule) according to the released production baseline.
  • Setup/create and adjust the MPS according to the released production base line and against the specific time period as specified.
  • Create, manage/maintain the material demand for the ILS Spares Module from the released MBOM for planning and monitoring demand against planned (min/ max) Ordering Levels and Kanban setup.
  • Creation and development of material shortage report for management reporting and decision making
  • Management, control and monitoring of the full SAP MRP system including setup, parameters control, release to control of demand ordering through for procurement as per the production plan.
  • Manage, control/monitor the MRP system orders and demand. Investigate and provide solutions related to no demand, excess ordering and material shortages for all models. Conduct inventory analysis and evaluation related to orders and material shortages.
  • Provide solutions and recommendation to address demand specific problems integrated within Planning, Warehouse, Production and Procurement.
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes from inbound receipt to line site supply and issues.
  • Assess and evaluate volume demand /requirements against MRP parameters (day-to-day order/ demand) management and agreed inventory stock levels. Liaise with Procurement to resolve issues/discrepancies. Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct Excess Inventory analysis and drive actions to reduce excess materials and dispose scrap and obsolete material in coordination with Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse and Finance.
  • Prepare of management reports related to demand, inventory, management and Bill of Materials, .
  • In liaison with IT, customize Inventory Management reports to support Procurement, Warehouse and Production planning activities. Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels and ensure generation of reports.
  • Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy. Minimize obsolete stock and ensure minimization of liabilities. Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update the stakeholders.
  • Works within the limits of authority as defined by the line manager.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Material Planning, Operations planning, Purchasing, or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English(verbal/written).

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in an automotive manufacturing setup (Defense Industry).
  • Advance Experience working with MRP/ERP systems especially SAP (Demand Planning and Controls, Production Planning & Operations / Logistics) is desirable. Requires purchasing, material planning, and knowledge of production planning.
  • Advance material planning, management and control.
  • Advance knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Advance analytical skills.
  • Advance excel skills and functionality for use of analytics.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Production Planning Processes, Supply Chain Management and Inventory Control and related documentation.

Operating Environment:
