Process engineer

Job Title: Process Engineer

Work Location: Abu Dhabi (with frequent offshore visits as required)

Probation Period: 6 Months

Job Purpose:

To lead and execute process engineering activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and optimized design in line with ADNOC specifications and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead process engineering deliverables during FEED and Detailed Design phases.

Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, datasheets, and line sizing calculations.

Perform process simulations and hydraulic calculations for system and equipment sizing.

Design and optimize oil & gas processing facilities including gathering, separation, compression, dehydration, flare, and EOR systems.

Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and other process safety reviews.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support vendor technical evaluations.

Assist in commissioning, troubleshooting, and site engineering support.

Prepare process philosophies, design basis documents, and technical reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering.

Minimum 10+ years of experience in process engineering within UAE oil & gas projects.

Experience in feasibility studies, concept development, and pre-FEED activities.

Exposure to upstream and downstream operations and modular design concepts.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS, ProMax, and other simulation tools.

Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and international codes.

Experience in EOR systems, flare system design, debottlenecking studies, and process optimization.

Strong understanding of heat/mass balance, hydraulics, relief sizing, and dynamic simulations.

Familiarity with process safety reviews, control philosophies, and operational troubleshooting.
