Day Technician – SMP2 Electrical (UAEN)

Industry: Steel Manufacturing

Requirements:

• Diploma or Trade Certificate (ITI) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• 5 years of experience (Diploma holders) or 8 years of experience (Trade Certificate holders) in electrical maintenance within a steel plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of Steel Melting Plant (SMP) and Billet Casting operations.
• Hands-on experience with Medium Voltage Substations, Transformers, Switchgears, PLCs, Drives, Motors, and automation systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably SAP.
• Good understanding of maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
• UAE National candidates only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize plant availability and reliability.
• Diagnose equipment faults and provide technical support for complex maintenance issues.
• Support maintenance planning, spare parts management, and shutdown coordination with production teams.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CMMS systems.
• Assist in training and development of UAE National trainees and employees.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and company procedures.
• Support plant improvement initiatives and continuous operational excellence programs.
