Lead Civil & Structural Engineer

Accommodation: Self-managed Star Services LLC is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Civil & Structural Engineer to join our team at EGA, Al Taweelah. As the Lead Civil & Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil and structural engineering activities for the Al Taweelah Alumina Refinery project. This is a full-time position with a duration of 12 months. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of civil and structural engineers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. - Review and approve civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and specifications prepared by the team. - Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. - Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to resolve any technical issues and ensure smooth project execution. - Monitor and control project progress, costs, and quality to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering activities. - Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction activities are in compliance with the approved designs and specifications. - Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the construction phase. - Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and presentations. - Mentor and develop junior engineers in the team. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a reputable university. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry. - Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers. - Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, codes, and standards. - Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, and ETABS. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. - Familiarity with local regulations and standards in the UAE is preferred. - Valid UAE driving license is a plus.
