Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Superintendent to join our team and oversee the welding operations for our subsea pipeline projects. The Welding Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of welding activities, in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all welding activities for subsea pipeline projects, including planning, execution, and quality control. Develop and implement welding procedures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Supervise a team of welders, ensuring they are following proper welding techniques and safety procedures. Monitor and maintain welding equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets project requirements. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure welds meet project specifications. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate completion of welding activities. Prepare progress reports and maintain documentation of welding activities, including weld maps, inspection reports, and material certifications. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Provide technical support and guidance to welding personnel. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in welding supervision, preferably in subsea pipeline projects. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent certification. Extensive knowledge of welding procedures and techniques, including subsea welding. Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to welding. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and welding software.
