Position: HSE Officer E2

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced HSE Officer E2 to join our team. The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards on our client's site. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HSE principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local laws and regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors
- Maintain accurate records of all HSE-related activities and reports
- Liaise with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE regulations
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in HSE regulations
- Participate in emergency response drills and provide support during emergencies
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among all employees and contractors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans
- Certification in HSE (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office and other HSE-related software
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to work on-site and occasionally outside of regular business hours
