Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer E2 to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects. This includes preparing cost estimates, conducting cost analysis, and monitoring project budgets to ensure they are completed within the allocated budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost savings
- Monitor project budgets and provide regular reports on cost performance
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to obtain the best prices for materials and services
- Review and approve project invoices and ensure they align with the budget
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure cost control measures are implemented
- Prepare and maintain project cash flow projections
- Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential financial risks
- Provide guidance and support to junior quantity surveyors and other team members
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in construction costs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and procurement processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using cost estimation and project management software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Professional certifications such as RICS or CIOB are preferred.
